Global Clubfoot Day | 7 May
About Global Clubfoot Day
Global Clubfoot Day, observed annually on May 7th, serves as the official launch observance of the Global Clubfoot Awareness Parv (GCAP) movement. The date commemorates the birthday of Parv Thacker, Guinness World Record holder, singer, actor, and Global Clubfoot Awareness Ambassador, whose journey from clubfoot treatment to international recognition inspired the ‘Rise Like Arjun’ and ‘Right to Rise’ awareness movement and the “Main Bhi Arjun” philosophy and ‘Awareness through Arts’ motto. His artistic journey includes Guinness World Record recognition, the film Main Bhi Arjun: Parv, and performances with the Parv Fusion Band, including the “Gunje Gita” initiative. These initiatives integrate spiritual music with his participation in the Grammy consideration campaign for Sound of Sanatan: Vol. 1—an awareness-linked devotional music album officially connected with the GCAP and “Music Therapy for All” initiatives.
May 7th also marks the beginning of Global Clubfoot Awareness Week and Global Clubfoot Awareness Month, a 32-day awareness initiative continuing until June 7th and encompassing the globally recognized World Clubfoot Day on June 3rd. Led by Parv and supported by Clubfoot Goodwill Ambassadors Vacha Thacker, Dr. Pooja Thacker, and Dr. Krupesh Thacker, the movement promotes early intervention and resilience through music, storytelling, cultural initiatives, and humanitarian activities, providing hope for clubfoot-affected children and families worldwide.
